Its exactly one year since the terrorist attack, killed and
injured innocent Kenyans who were going through their daily duties to fend for
their families clueless of what might endanger their lives on that fateful Saturday
21st September, 2013.
Many woke up with many expectations, some with hope of
meeting their loved ones after the day’s chores but this was never meant to be
when their lives were maimed by the ruthless terrorists who put the mighty
Westgate Mall under Siege.

Young children, Young ladies and gentlemen, Mothers, Fathers
lost their lives. What a sad moment that tore us apart!! But in everything that
happens to us, we should just Glorify God. He had a reason as to why it had to
be our fellow Kenyans.
Today as we commemorate the first anniversary of this
attack, I take this humble opportunity to convey my heartfelt condolence to the
families who lost their loved ones. I feel like it had happened to me because
am one of those people who come from a family and losing someone in a family is
something that no one would wish to happen to them.
Its only God who will reward everyone for their deeds, when I
watch that documentary, I cant control my tears from rolling when I see people
being killed like flies and listen to the survivors stories. It’s a sad
experience for one to go through.
To the survivors of this attack my word for you is that God
Love you so much and that’s why your life was spared and you live today to
share it with us. The only medicine for you to heal is to accept it and just
move on, its hard to forget but just accept what happened to you, it cant be
reversed by doing this you are certain you will heal and God wont forsake you.
Yesterday (Saturday 20th sept) while I was
watching KTN live courage from KICC (THE BOTTOMLINE) and hear the survivors’
stories, it was just so much to bear. That police officer who was shot 15 times
and survive my message to you is that God loves you. You will be alright hero.
To the people who risked their lives to bravely go into the
mall with the aim of recueing the lives and forgetting their own lives, I
SALUTE YOU!! From police officers in general, individuals, Team Red Cross and
many who were there to save the dying lives, nawavulia kofia Mashujaa.
I must say thank you to fellow Kenyans for being united with
only one aim! The aim of seeing that the lives that were put under risk were saved,
through their donations ( financially, blood, counseling, etc), that unity
should be the one to drive us everyday remembering that we are Kenyans,
brothers and sisters irrespective of where your geographical location is in
Kenya. We are one family, we therefore ought to love one another, assist in the
capacity that fits you.
United nation shall not be moved whatever strong the force
may seem to be. Unity is always strength and as a nation we need to be united
together in order to be able to defeat the enemy. This is an attack that even
though it did not affect me directly but I will live to remember it in my
lifetime.
MUNGU NA WAPE FARAJA
may God give them comfort
