The leadership of Bunge la Wananchi Nyatike, under the chairmanship of Mr. Kennedy Omogi, has issued a firm and uncompromising warning to individuals who recently misrepresented themselves as officials of the movement during a visit to the Interior PS Dr. Raymond Omollo.
The chair made it clear that those individuals acted without authority, mandate, or legitimacy, and their actions should be treated with the contempt they deserve. Bunge la Wananchi Nyatike remains a people-driven movement anchored in truth, transparency, and grassroots representation. Any attempts to hijack its voice will not be tolerated.
In a united show of purpose, genuine representatives drawn from Muhuru Bay, Macalder Kanyarwanda, Got Kachola, Kachieng and Kaler convened and reaffirmed their collective position. They emphasized that the movement is fully aligned and encouraged by the ongoing high voter registration turnout across Nyatike. This civic enthusiasm is a clear sign that the people are ready to shape their democratic future.
Mr. Omogi took the opportunity to commend the Governor of Migori County, Dr. Ochilo Ayacko, for his visible development track record and inclusive leadership approach. Special recognition was given to the revival of Muhuru Pier, a critical economic hub that is restoring livelihoods and that will boost trade within the region.
He further applauded the Governor for championing a modern market in Muhuru Bay, which is expected to uplift small-scale traders, improve sanitation, and enhance business opportunities for local residents.
The chair also acknowledged the importance of balanced and fair appointments within the County Government, noting that inclusivity across all wards and communities strengthens unity and trust in leadership.
Nyatike Bunge la Wananchi expressed support for the spirit of broad-based governance and constructive collaboration between county and national leadership, including coordination with President Dr. William Ruto, which has accelerated key development projects in the region.
As a result of these achievements, the movement declared that Nyatike residents are firmly behind Governor Ochilo Ayacko and are ready to support his re-election in the upcoming polls.
